Verification email not arriving? A 10-minute inbox checklist
You have copied an address and requested a code, but the inbox is still empty. Start by checking the sender’s address field against the exact address shown in TossMyMail.
Give the sender time
Some services queue email before sending it. TossMyMail checks every 15 seconds while this tab is visible. Switching back to the tab triggers a check. A successful check means we could read the inbox; it does not prove the sender has sent its message.
Keep the same address
Do not choose New address while waiting: that creates a different inbox and deletes the previous one. Refreshing the page in the same tab preserves an active inbox. Use +10 minutes before expiry if you need more time, up to 30 minutes total.
Try one resend
Ask the sending service to resend once, then wait. Repeated clicks can cause the sender to rate-limit or replace earlier codes. Check its own confirmation and error messages.
Check service and message limits
The inbox status distinguishes failed checks and expired inboxes. Daily service limits can temporarily stop operation. Incoming messages larger than 1 MB are rejected, and an inbox holds up to 100 messages. HTML-only mail shows a placeholder; attachments are not displayed.
The website may reject disposable email
Some sites block tmmail.net. A new address on the same domain will not resolve that block. Use an email provider that meets the website’s requirements. For valuable accounts, use a permanent address from the start.
Match the problem to the next step
- No email and the inbox says Connected: compare the address in the signup form with the one above the inbox. Keep the tab visible for the next check, then use Resend once.
- The form says “email not allowed”: the site may block tmmail.net. A new name on the same domain will not fix that. Use an address the site accepts.
- A daily-limit notice appears: more refreshes will not restore service. Return after the daily reset, or use a lasting inbox if the message is urgent.
- An email arrives but has no readable code: it may be HTML-only. TossMyMail shows plain text, not the email design. Check the sender’s other sign-in options.
- The code is rejected: after a resend, use the newest message. The sender sets its own code deadline.
What to tell the sender’s support team
Say: “I requested a signup email at [time and time zone]. The form accepted the address, but the message has not arrived.” Give the address only if support needs it. Do not share a password or code. For your own app, check the sending service’s logs for a rejected or bounced message.
